Things to donate;

  • Donations of nectar card points would be greatly appreciated. Any nectar points can be collected as iou slips. If you send these to us, we will be able to add them to our nectar card and use them for the sanctuary.

  • Should you have any saleable items you'd like to donate to the sanctuary, we can now collect them.

  • We have an Ebay page, where you can pick up a good deal, and help us into the bargain.

  • If there are any strong people who'd like to help out, we welcome volunteers, whatever hours you can put in.

  • We can engrave pet tags, for a donation.

  • Please keep looking out for any foie gras on sale. It would be nice to see the stuff banished from the county.

  • If anyone has unwanted printer cartridges and mobile phones they wish to dispose of they can send them to the sanctuary, helping us to raise more funds. (Not Epson or Brother cartridges please, as they cannot be recycled.)

  • If you want to send us stamps to help our funds, please bear in mind that there should be no more than a centimetre of paper left around the stamp when you tear it off. This is because the stamps are valued by weight. Thanks if you've already contributed!

  • Lastly, building materials and linoleum,(10' by 8' offcuts would be good).

Hedgehogs!

If you find a hedgehog about in daylight hours it will probably be ill, and you should bring it in to us as soon as possible. If you find a sick or underweight hedgehog, also please bring it in. Try to keep the hedgehog warm with a towel wrapped around a blanket. Time really is crucial, and the quicker animals are brought to us the better chance they have. Thanks!

STABLE APPEAL

This year, with the rising costs of veterinary services and animal treatments, we are appealing for donations to help towards the sanctuary purchasing a log cabin in which to place our own veterinary surgery. Currently, we are operating on our animals in a surgery that is not purpose built, and is therefore unsuitable for weekly medical sessions. Our very kind and helpful veterinary surgeon assists us routinely, castrating and spaying our animals to ensure that the rising numbers of unwanted animals does not continue. Our surgeon also aids us in life-saving operations for animals that have been kpet in poor healthor have been neglected.

The cost of this log cabin will be roughly £15,000. Although we have equipment ready to use, the cabin will be purpose built for this use, and will need to be fitted out with the best in surgical features. The cabin will also house recovering animals and injured wild life. We help so many animals with our life-saving work, but we know that we can do so much more. Please consider donating (using the above PayPal link), as the animals really do need your help. Thank You.
